Have a couple of questions for you rtb.....re: Bend

You have been mulling over what happens when Patti retires.....There are kids (grown) in Petaluma, CA Colusa, CA, Woodland, CA, Coeur d'Alene.....Family 23 miles east of Townsend, MT, Family around Vacaville, CA and around Sacramento, CA..........
We both like the Bend area with what little time we have spent there. It would be approximately half way between all the areas.....
What is the coldest temps it usually reaches? What type of snowfall? How is the rental situation there, houses, do not know if we would buy again. I know there are a couple of what look like nice RV Parks for maybe full-timing.....Just curious as to taxes, basic econ stuff.....
We have located a couple of good Churches.....How are the politics there? We are both VERY strong Conservatives.....Just curious.....
