Re: Unique locations from which you are posting to BN.com
Damn It! I've really missed the boat and making interesting posts in the last month. In late Feb/early March I should have posted from Kauai, Burbank's Bob Hope Airport, and the Las Vegas TPC course or Lotus of Siam in Vegas. I'll do my best to post from Spokane and the first round of the NCAA tournament tomorrow.

Are you sure that it was Washington that legalized pot and not Oregon. You are sometimes lax in your stand up duties as well?rtb wrote:Damn It! I would endorse Giordano's for Chitown deep dish pizza and I know there are many more but that's where we went and were not disappointed. Other restaurants we went to only Shula's stands out for steak. It was kinda weird being in Chicago going to Shula's and not Ditka's or MJ's but that's what we did.catamaran wrote:Im going to be there in a couple weeks..........should i take this as an endorsement JDoub?
As far as brew, any type of beer you like Founders Brewery will do. "Dirty Bastard" Scotch Ale was one that stands out - if you like Cold Smoke you'd love Dirty Bastard at 8.5%. They also have an IPA called Doom and a two types of Porter, my favorite was the Smoked Porter stored in bourbon barrels. I also discovered a Utah brew in Chicago - Epic Brainless, that lived up to its name! The every-day beers (that I rarely drink) that folks drank a lot of were locals Goose Island 312, meh. I also found my absolute favorite beer in the world Schneider Weiss Tap 7, but I love wheat beer more than any other style. I may sound a bit of a lush, but truth be told I pretty much only drink when I'm on the road with an expense account!
We had a 40 degree swing last week from high 70s to low 30s, and it's called the Windy City for good reason.
Hope you enjoy your trip.

good times catching up with a great Bobcat and his family couple weeks ago in Boston -- and catching a game at Fenway for the first time
today:
Charlotte, NC notes: my GAWD it's humid down here, and the locals saying it's dry, and the Knights have a real nice park for the minors. A real nice, vibrant, young cool town
Columbia, SC notes: see above, USC campus not all that impressive IMO, obvious where the money goes -- athletics and BALL COACH (not that there's anything wrong with that!) GO COCKS!
good day to all y'all at BN

kind of -- I just travel a lot on my job as part of a global business unit -- just got back from Chicago last night again. I'm liking Chicago more and more.allcat wrote:what are you on, a world tour ?
next week: Orlando
Week after: back to Charlotte
week after that: Hong Kong, Tokyo
I do try to post on BN when I travel, but don't always -- maybe it helps webmasters map world IPs? I find Bobcats many places I go, it seems. Used to be griz crap everywhere I went, and there's less of that now. I try to wear something MSU on the road as well -- Bobcat marketing, I guess. My experience is that Montanans, as a group, are the cream of the crop in this blue planet.

Ma'alaea Bay on the south side of Maui, Hawaii. Drove the Road To Hana yesterday, truly the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

I had a friend that stopped at a place and tried on shoes in Honk Kong. They were a little tight and he was going to pass. The guy told him to come back in 2 hours. They got a pair of shoes made to fit like a glove in 2 hours.

Very nice. If you haven't watched a sunrise on the Haleakala crater, it might interest you. If you do it, bring warm clothes. It's only about 45 degrees up there, but it warms up quickly.91catAlum wrote:Ma'alaea Bay on the south side of Maui, Hawaii.
