To the Darkside

So I've had my change in life.

I sold my share in my business to my brother and unless someone offers me a really good job soon, I'll be starting my Master's in Mathematics at MSU this fall. My wife can't (or shouldn't) leave her job right now, so we are in this area for a while, so MSU it is. I keep fearing that I might be too old for school, but then I tell myself ... its just MSU. jokes.

I just couldn't keep up with the demands the business put on me, what with my age and my newborn twin girls. So now I am relaxing (probably for most of the summer) and will be ready to go after it this fall.

Cheers.

You're actually leaving the 'darkside' and seeing the light. Get your butt to the MSU Bookstore and pick up some Blue & Gold, it'll ease the transition.

BTW, congrats on the twins, don't forget to pick them up something while you're at the Bookstore as well.

Don't despair! I went back for my Masters when I was 45 and really enjoyed it. Once you get back into the flow of things its actually much easier because you are more focused.

Yeah, it shouldn't be too bad. I am still in my thirties (for a couple of moments).

I'm kind of glad I didn't get organized quick enough to get a ta-ship. School seems like it would be easy without working 20-30 hours a week and taking at least 17 hours of courses and not to mention absolutely destroying myself every weekend.

Go Kats: Wear blue and gold? Never.

And the girls have plenty of good clothes:

The colors of the clothes seem to clash with the beauty and joyousness of the girls.

Enjoy your time in Bozeman ... I'm jealous.

Good luck!! I've taken a few courses since college and have been amazed at how much easier they seem now! I hope you find it the same.

Cute girls, despite the ugly clothes!

Aren't twins fun? Ours are keeping us busy and aging us prematurely. I'd suggest a play date with our boys and your girls, but I don't want to corrupt my children at such a young age.

By the way, I'm still feverishly searching for some Griz diapers or burp rags for my kids. Griz wear is meant to be spit up on or pooped on.

Funny story..We are potty training our kid and the thing that worked is a griz sticker on the bottom of the potty. If he can't whiz on the griz he won't whiz at all.

Where are the ad club rep's...that would make a pretty sweet T-shirt.

My son and daughter-in-law are going thru that stage with my twin granddaughters, it probably doesn't work with girls though. :D I talked to the girls yesterday and one of them said "we don't like poopy diapers so we go potty" and the other one heard her say that and ran off yelling "time to go pee pee". They're doing pretty good, only wear diapers now when it's bed time. I'm heading to the Bay Area in the next few weeks to spend a week, but I've been holding off pending the completion of potty training so I can take care of the girls for a week which will save a ton on day care where they live.

Well, yeah a bit. They are getting better. I don't know how we survived the first few months, though.

If it makes you guys feel better, I think almost every article of clothing has at some point been shat or spat upon.

Yep, you know you're a parent when you meet someone, and after one whiff, they say, "Hmm, you have kids, don't you?"

 Congrats!
