Last fall, Pedro Martinez admitted that the Yankees were his "Daddy"
Have the Red Sox become Riveras Daddy? Looking into the series last fall and the two blown leads this year, he has given up 5 of the last 8 to the Sox.
Give credit to the sox, but Rivera appears to be slipping.
I think he still has the talent, but he may be loosing his rep as "THE" premier closer in the league.
Thoughts??
Mariano Rivera Loosing It??

First I would like to say I hate the Yankees.
I think that MLB has some serious problems and two of the biggest ones are not having a sufficient salary cap and profit sharing program. These 2 reasons are the reasons that the Yankees have become known as the "Evil Empire".
That aside, the best closer happens to play for the best team, Joe Nathan of the Minnesota Teams.
Those are my feelings in a nutshell.

Way too early to be throwing up the panic alarm. Rivera is still very much in the upper tier of closers. This is very early in the season (a season he missed part of spring training for) and he made one bad pitch against Varitek (a lefty with a nice swing for Yankee Stadium) and he should have been out of the other game if A-Rod turns the double play. He is also working on a new pitch - something normally done in spring training. When you don't have a spring training and your roster spot is safe, you work on it early in the year. Manny Ramirez is currently hitting .077 but I bet he won't end the season even close to this.
