Why do you think the UN was established in NY? Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Fundamentally, the UN cannot succeed. On one line, the Charter reads that the UN will ensure that every person will have basic human rights. On the next line, the Charter reads that every recognized country has sovereignty. Those ideals tend to be diametrically opposed in many cases.
