Last Best Place Trademark

Hi, my name is Nate Schweber and I'm a Montana-born freelance writer living in New York City. I'm writing a story for the website www.newwest.net about a dude named David Lipson. Lipson is a Las Vegas based businessman who is trying to trademark the phrase "The Last Best Place" so he can use it to advertise a resort he owns near Missoula.

The hypothesis for my article is that this Lipson guy is actually uniting Montanans. Schweitzer, Rehberg, Burns AND Baucus all agree that this guy is wrong in trying to trademark "The Last Best Place."

I'd like to quote a couple Bobcat fans and a couple Griz fans to find out if even they agree on this point.
