Thanks, BAC. I'm rather torn, and hurt, yet fully realize China is growing economically that I for one can't help but wonder whether they'll expand beyond their traditional sphere of influence militarily. India, on the other hand, has too many problems in their "neighborhood" yet they could, based on sheer numbers make some noise. They have too many ethnic divisions to approach what China is capable of doing, in my opinion.

I don't know a whole lot about the Boer war but it seems quite a stretch to compare it to the Irag War. I also believe they were saying the same things after the Vietnam War, which seem more similar to the Boer war to me.

As for China they are definately a superpower, but I believe they are a little to reliant on the American consumer. If we don't have a good economy theirs will also take a big hit. I also think they are still too socialist to become the one major power, meaning I think they use a lot of smoke and mirrors to prop up their economy. Not to the extent that Russia did but its till there in my opinion.
