The Cars
Well, this takes me back ... I'm sitting here listening to a new The Cars album. I would have been stoked about this around 1990, and it's still pretty cool now.
It's pretty catchy stuff so far ... sounds very retro.

Re: The Cars
Never heard of 'em...

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Hey, I can appreciate the 70's. Nothing like Foreigner, though.

You know BAC, we may not agree on many things...But, I agree, this new Cars album is pretty bitchin'!

Re: The Cars
I just bought The Cars greatest hits album from Amazon MP3 for $5, I had no idea there was a new album! Might have to check it out.
Plus Ric Ocasek was the producer for the first Weezer album, possibly my favorite rock album of all time.

Re: The Cars
Though this is a Cars thread, that by the way I need to check out, thanks BAC... I would also recommend The Doobie Brothers new album entitled World Gone Crazy!

Re: The Cars
Cool news, BAC.
Can you name a few of the better tracks? I'd like an intelligent opinion before I drop in on iTunes (where the most popular songs aren't always the best).

Re: The Cars
I listened to the whole thing while working, so I wasn't paying much attention to the individual tracks ... sorry, not much help there. But you can listen to the whole album for free from the link I provided, so if you have the time, you can sample the whole thing to see what you like.nevadacat wrote:Cool news, BAC.

I'm just going to buy the whole album -- it all seemed pretty solid.

Re: The Cars
Good that they have a new album...bad that Benjamin Orr is no longer around so it's ultimately not The Cars as they really were.
