What????? You're saying we have economic issues here in the Flathead? First I've heard of it.
In all seriousness...if our outdoor rec and scenery etc. are important to you now is actually not too bad of a time to start the right business in Kalispell simply due to attractive lease terms, housing costs way down, etc. So if you have a business model that will succeed now in Kalispell you're setting yourself up very well in for the future. But of course finding the right business to make money here now is difficult. Just make sure your product is very marketable to Canadians.

I agree, those are some of the reasons I moved here from Billings 2 years ago. Housing prices are rock bottom, but I still pay over $2K for a 1800 sf house, which is absurd.

Funny, I grew up in Billings and got a job up here two years ago.
Are you saying renting for over $2k or bought a 1800 sf house for over $200K? I agree high either way.
**Edit - I just saw your post on the other thread about buying in Empire.

Well, we pay about $5K in taxes on a 1,100 square foot flat, so that $2K figure sounds rather nice by comparison.

Didn't they have a location in the Holiday Village Mall at one point?

Actually, I believe they were located in the mall before moving to their current location downtown. I wouldn't swear to it, as I didn't live in GF at the time, but I do vaguely remember that, and I think the mall location was the very first Great Harvest anywhere. Can any long time GF residents confirm or deny?

Kinda makes you long for Winifred, eh?

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

For that reason, and so many others ... yep, I often do.

The more I think about it they were in the area of the main entrance of the mall on the upper level. Used to be an Orange Julius nearby? It has been a while since I have been in that mall.
