Biggest Change - Singer in Different Bands

Post by CelticCat » Tue Nov 20, 2012 4:22 pm

So I was listening to Groovehsark at work today, and I came across songs by the same lead singer, but different bands. Just curious what are some drastic changes from a lead singer in different bands?

Exhibit A: Aaron Bruno:
Hometown Hero - Questions - http://grooveshark.com/s/Questions/43CS7A?src=5
Under the Influence of Giants - In the Clouds - http://grooveshark.com/s/In+The+Clouds/2ui5cU?src=5
AWOL Nation - Sail - http://grooveshark.com/s/Sail+Radio+Edit/3v853W?src=5

Exhibit B: Gabe Saporta
Midtown - Just Rock & Roll - http://grooveshark.com/s/Just+Rock+And+Roll/IjmU8?src=5
Cobra Starship - You Make Me Feel http://grooveshark.com/s/You+Make+Me+Fe ... okcY?src=5

At least I like "Sail", that Cobra Starship stuff is garbage.

Who?

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

Not sure the confusion. Grooveshark is a service, and I named the singer and their respective bands. If you haven't heard of either guy's newest band, you're probably old. ;)

Tim Armstrong, the lead singer from Rancid went on to do a single album with a band called the Aggrolites. He essentially went from hardcore punk to reggae. Pretty awesome!

I have never heard of Grooveshark, either singer nor any of the bands . . . I am now old #-o #-o #-o

Those are some awesome sounding band names but I would feel like a poser just for saying them out loud!

When we were your age, we didn't have Grooveshark, Pandora, or iHeart.com. Hell, we didn't even have iPods, mp3 players, or satellite radio. Back then we listened to 8-tracks and AM radio if we were lucky enough to pick up a station. And then you were at the mercy of your windshield wipers interfering with your radio signal (swish, swish). BUT WE LOVED IT! You kids nowadays are spoiled with your gadgets you can load thousands of songs onto. Hell, we had a SONY walkman, and if we wanted more than 10 songs, we had to carry a couple cassette tapes with us. Damn kids these days. Oh, and you flibberty jibbet kids with your streaming audio, video, on demand computer crap... we used to have this thing called MTV and they showed music videos, but if you wanted to watch your favorite video you had to wait all day sometimes, or call 1-800-DIAL-MTV to request something. BUT WE LOVED IT!

Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

Haha, classic SNL.

AWOL Nation "Sail" was used for a Bobcat video earlier in the year I think, maybe after the night game?

I love me some Rancid too.

Pretty soon kids won't even have to walk uphill in the snow barefoot, to get to their transporter.

Well, I guess I am old too. I grew up with two am stations. CKCK-Regina and KOMA-Oklahoma City.
