According to The Collegian, MSU has received applications from 135 out of a possible 213 (63%) Montana University System Honor Scholarships for 2013. Last year 127 of 206 applied to MSU, in 2011 99 of 176 and in 2010 121 of 199.
MSU has set a record for enrollment six times in seven years and is now at 14,660.
All four nominees for Goldwater Scholarships from MSU were chosen bringing MSU's total to 58 (not sure where that ranks exactly, but probably in the top 20 in the nation). The most you can nominate is four. MSU also had all four selected in 1998. MSU also had a Rhodes, Udall and Marshall scholarship winner. MSU has 10 Rhodes scholars, five Udall scholars and this is the first Marshall scholar.
