I'm hearing rumblings of slow road construction between Three Forks and Bozeman. Anyone been through there in the last couple days? How much extra time should I allow, driving from Helena?
EDIT: I hear the entire 30-mile stretch is under construction!?! is it true?

Yep, single lane, "eastbound" lane. Don't remember exactly, but I think it's a 65 mph speed limit, so it's not too bad. At least it was the first of August.catamaran wrote:in july it was between three forks and manhattan...single lane
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Re: Road Construction - Three Forks to Bozeman
If you'd like, there is a parallel bypass route available. If you get off of the interstate at Three Forks, turn left and take Secondary Highway 205, also known as the Frontage Road or old US Highway 10. The speed limit is 70 if you don't mind going through towns and you wouldn't be stuck in construction. The road will take you all the way to Bozeman as well.
