We dropped landline and have gone cell phone.....

Post by RickRund » Thu Oct 16, 2014 11:50 am

It started out with Patti on her way to work on a Friday morning and needing her cell to work. A naked, scratched up and bloody guy on the shoulder of the highway and her cell phone didn't get service to 911 until almost into Quincy. Felt good it was not an emergency on her part.
We both had pay as you go, her with Net10 and me T-mobile. We got a Verizon plan and these phones are pretty darn complex, Samsung Galaxy S4. They do things that I cannot believe. We did find out that with pay as you go you don't get all the power, all the coverage off the tower that the BIG full contract gives you. We also had a long distance service, Primus, and that is gone. The Primus service was inexpensive as far as charges until you looked at the (example) $23 dollar bill and saw that it would be $6 in long distance and $17 in all sorts of fees.....
Darn nice phones and hopefully we get on the learning curve.
