I see MSU is in the top 45!

What is this all about?
This is so beyond stupid. MSU was part of a program called the PhD Project that was a consortium of colleges/universities formed to encourage individuals from underrepresented populations to apply to PhD programs. There's no preference given in the admissions process. It's not taking away spots from white people. Just a complete joke.

It’s simple. Insurance companies get volume discounts. Might not like the result but, can you tell folks how to operate their business. That would be socialism, right?
This comment really confuses me. If an insurance company gets a volume discount, then why does the insurance company get charged more than a cash-paying individual?? Maybe I’m missing something.
Agree with Tdub. Did you watch the video 77matman?

And placing rules, regulations and policies on companies is not socialism.

No.
I don’t have tic toc so I didn’t bother to watch.

I reread and my original statement was off. Sorry.

What you see often is the reverse. For example the total bill for a doc service if you have insurance is less than the total bill if you don’t. Insurance companies get negotiated discounts and of course individuals don’t.

Read your note too quickly and assumed that was the deal. Only explanation I can think of is the company recognizes if a person doesn’t have insurance the odds are higher that he doesn’t have a job than those that do and they are willing to get paid less than nothing at all. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Sorry again for the double clutch. Interested in knowing the answer.

Isn’t telling a company how to price their product social engineering. Unless of course they are monopolistic.

Just an fyi, but you don’t need TikTok to watch those clips. Just click on the link here and it just plays the clip in your internet browser. No need to register or anything.

I had to share this. Democrats were actually commenting how bad the CR bill was on Friday, before the bill was even released on Saturday. It reminded me of this thread. And no cuts to Medicare, veterans, etc. How can this even be defended?

I don’t use TikTok for several reasons—do you have a reliable source for this information?
This whole thread is out of control. TDUB said best no wins this argument. I’ve got my opinions but most of them have been said here.
I’ve got a serious question WHO the Fu** won the hockey game today

Montana State will lose at least $13m in grants/funding and potentially much more. You get what you vote for… https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lk ... obilebasic
Based on your last sentence, I guess you felt Biden and Kamala were doing a great job. And while I hate to see MSU lose any money, are you saying these were critical and essential programs? Would the US be better spending that money on other critical needs like battling the drug war?
Fight the drug war with the savings? That is so cute. :)
