Missoula ?
Great Falls ?

How long have those two been gone?
Great Falls I know has been gone for well over a year. Miss 'em; I get to GF much more often than to Bozeman, and they were my usual lunchtime stop
The Great Falls store didn't try real hard IMHO. They weren't open on Sundays and closed at 7:00 p.m...........times when I would be driving through.

Yeah, it always seemed kind of an odd situation - from when they were in the little shack on 10th Avenue S. next to Target. Never seemed to really take off, which is too bad. I've always thought they could make a run in Helena. Lots of possibilities around Carroll to play to the college crowd, and lots of us who lived off them while in college who would probably spend way too much money on Cheesesteaks and Bobcat Specials. :D

A bit off topic, and I'm gonna get blasted for saying this, but the Pickle Barrel Cheesesteak could be the most overrated sandwich of all timee. It is delicious, yes, but it isn't the beat all sandwich everyone always makes it out to be.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Maybe, maybe not. But then again, it's not really a steak sandwich. More of a shaved/chopped beef sandwich.

I will tell you the best steak sandwich I ever had was in Elko, NV at a place called Toki Ona. It's a little Mom & Pop Basque place.

My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Full slab of tender, juicy steak on toasted French bread with this amazing garlic cream sauce.

Every bite was pure bliss. I'm sure it was well over 2,000 calories, but oh, what a sandwich. What I'd do for one right now... =P~

Are you kidding.
What about the documented medicinal qualities of the cheesesteak?
It has been known to bring warring sides together to end armed conflicts.

Well, ok, not really.

But for a non-worldly 18 year-old in 1977 it was THE beat-all sandwich it is made out to be.

The best sandwich shop in Bozeman at one time was “Grums”. They were only open a few years and a nasty divorce shut them down, but they sure the hell made a great sandwich.

Just saw this. Unbelievable! Absolutely the best sandwiches anywhere. I keep trying to find something even close, with no luck. I eat there a minimum of once a day - and often more than that - every time I'm in Bozeman. Living in Denver now, I appreciate the 'value' even more than in college, and it was an incredible deal then. Now I just want a cheesesteak. Damn Denver sandwich shops.

I had my high school bball team in Belgrade this past weekend for divisionals. We ate a pickle barrel twice. Both times we just showed up with 14 kids and 3 coaches--didn't call ahead. They didn't mess up a single sandwich either day. Plus they were happy to have us there. Can't say the same for most places when a bus shows up. Phenomenal food and phenomenal service. They top the sandwich mountain---easily!

Did you take them to the one in Belgrade or Bozeman? I would not want to be there if you took 14 kids and 3 coaches to the one in bozeman! :o

I have not been to the one in Belgrade before. How many tables do they have there?

I really like the one in Belgrade, they actually have a few things on the menu that the one in Bozeman does not, including a very good pulled pork with coleslaw. I think there are about 10 tables?

It was Bozeman  . It was crowded but they did a great job of getting us in and out quickly--we ate on the bus!

It's cheesesteak, bobcat, or ken's with roast beef added and nothing else. Pulled pork from the PB? Get it together!
