I don't think any PJ album could ever top TEN or VS but this new one is close.
I have to go with Yield as my favorite overall, but it changes all the time with TEN, VS, No Code and the new album.
RTB, good to hear that you are enjoying it, I would have felt bad if you didn't like it.
Like I said before, lots of lawn tickets left for both Gorge shows. It's gonna be a fun weekend.

Yeah...I know what you mean. I kinda celebrate their whole catalog. I'm a Michael Bolton, I mean Pearl Jam fan.

Highly recommend it - it will probably end up being my 2nd favorite PJ album... I'm a huge fan. Also recomment the latest Foo Fighters album. Those 2 have been sharing time in my player recently...
What's your favorite if you don't mind me asking?
RTB, did you end up getting the album this weekend?
Ten

I am super jealous of anyone going to the Gorge... they are a great live band. Is Tom Petty with them for those 2 shows? I'll be on the Smith River or I'd be there.

They are an awesome live band. I've seen them five times and was front row, center at Missoula last fall. It should be an awesome weekend! Both nights are being billed as "An Evening with Pearl Jam." No opener, no co-headliner, just them. Last fall when they did the same thing at the Gorge, they played like an hour long acoustic set and then came back out and played another two and a half hours with an electric set so I'm hoping for the same this time around.
Petty will be co-headlining with them for two shows each in Denver, Minneapolis and Milwaukee for summerfest. Those tickets are like $100 bucks a piece, but would be worth it i think.

You got me. I've only seen them 4 times. I was in Missoula last fall as well - the perfect day... great flyfishing all day then Pearl Jam at night.

Have fun at the Gorge!

I'm a huge PJ fan and made some good $$$ off of their return to the US in Missoula at Adams Fieldhouse after their Ticketmaster fiasco. A buddy and I figured out how to beat the UM phone system for tickets, maxed out three credit cards, and made about $2000 on tickets from fellow students for a concert that sold out in a morning. This is when I knew business was my calling.
My wife and I will always go see them here in Portland, and I consider them 'MY BAND' because I first saw them in a barn at the Bozeman Fairgrounds. Nine months later, "Alive" was on MTV, and the rest is history.
I just bought the album off of Itunes. It's definitely run-worthy at the gym.

PapaG--I always considered them my band too, but I was also at the fairgrounds. My first mosh pit---Bozeman style. I'm sure I bumped into you once or twice.
I personally love "Marker in the Sand", but then you probably can guess my politcal allegience, too. Great lyrics.
