If draft is in person, I definitely won't be able to attend. If it's online I'm probably 50/50. If we do an auction, am I pretty much screwed if I'm not able to attend?

It auto-bids or you at certain points. You might not get who you want, or overpay for someone but you won't be "screwed."wbtfg wrote:If draft is in person, I definitely won't be able to attend. For me, a Sunday at that time works about perfect. Also, are we doing an offline draft or are we just doing an online draft with everyone together?

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Nope, just wanted a date set. I'm just waiting for the poll to close to set a draft style. As far as not being able to attend, I think you can still set draft priorities or go straight autodraft

Re: Fantasy Baseball
depending on schedules, I've been contemplating having a draft someplace. with wireless i could use my ipad to run the draft (i think)and give a chance to put names and faces together. Everything is preliminary.

exactly how i would have guessed it. tied with two votes to go....probably from two players who don't have a preference or forgot they're playing (cough, BDizzle, cough)

Whoever took over your team left the team name as BDizzle. So yeah....that damn lazy BDizzle is screwing everything up....again.BDizzle wrote:I didn't play last year. Re: Fantasy Baseball
I would be able to play this year if you need 1 more. I play FF with you guys so might as well kick some butt at baseball too. The BDizzle name will continue to get passed around.
My vote would be to do a snake draft as I have never done an auction type one.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Ok I've given this some more thought. I would really only like the auction if everyone was able to attend. And I mean everyone. When there's an auto-bid in play the draft gets really really ****ty when the bot just makes a max bid just for the sake of making an auto bid. So at this point I'd rather just do a snake unless everyone can attend.

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Regarding keepers. Will keepers take affect before draft (keep players from last year's team), or are we starting with a blank slate and voting on keepers going forward?

Re: Fantasy Baseball
After the league voted to reset after last year, I"m just going through the motions of giving everyone a say in what we want as a league. All of the keepers will be from this seasons roster and they'll have to be picked by next march

I've got the draft date/time set right now for sunday at 8pm mst. You won't know the draft order until the draft opens since we are starting a 'brand new' league

Re: Fantasy Baseball
Should work out perfect. If we're planning on meeting somewhere for this I'd be down. But not a huge deal either way.
