Tomcat my bad on the spelling of Frazer but its been a while since I was there and wasn't it Roger White who drilled the 30 foot two pointers back then, anyway that was some tourney glad I got a chance to watch it.

Yes, it was both Roger White and Roger Bull Chief drilling 30-footers. Same guy as you probably know. :)

This is the typical response from a Western Montana resident. Most of whom have never seen Billings from anywhere but the Interstate. If you had seen Billings, you can go up on the rims and look over the city and see the Refinery and sugar beet factory are very, very small part of the landscape.
Another ill advised and ignorant assumption from another dUMb fan.

I had cousins that lived in Billings for 20 years, and we went there all the time. I wasn't much of a fan of the place as a kid, and now that I've seen the some more of the world I can say I have more than enough perspective to make a personal judgement on the place. I've seen Billings from every possible angle, including the rims. I've flown small airplanes into the airport several times, at night and during the day. Back in my high school days I went to at least 10 different events at Senior and Skyview. I probably made a pretty gross overstatement by saying the place is a cesspool, but its certainly not the crown jewel of the state by any stretch of the imagination.

How bout Kevin? (Pronounced Kee-vin for those who don't know) :D
Yes Indeed. The Twin Cities of Kevin and Oilmont are completely over the top ugly and dangerous. The ground leaks Natural gas, oil and, salt deposits on a nice layer of gumbo. I am kind of surprised that some smoker throwing a cig out the window hasn't leveled Toole County because of those places.

You can't smell Laurel from Billings...
Perhaps not, but it smells EXACTLY the same.

Reminds me of growing up. Lived 1.5 miles from a pig farm and when the wind was from the east is was bad...really bad. But I was told it was the smell of $$$. 25 years later he's out of the pig business and is one of the bigger farmers in Daniels County. I guess it was the smell of $$$.

So is the smell the refinery's? If so...smells like $$$.

Billings isn't my #1 place to live but there's plenty to do. If I could, I'd live in Powell, WY but I doubt I could talk my business partners to move there. Bastards.:D

If you've never been, I wouldn't recommend it:

Heart Butte

End of discussion.

That's great and all that you "went" there all the time. Your first fault is never attending an event at the "Golden Dome," of Billings West High School. Great place. Next, the refineries. Yeah, they are there, but who cares? Do they detract from the overall place? Probably not, unless you are trying to make them to. I lived in Billings for 20 years, and I wouldn't mind living there forever, but that probably won't be the case. I'll say the same thing that I've always said when I moved to Bozeman, I'd still rather live in Billings. There is nothing wrong with Billings, this is MT, it's not exactly the Ritz Carlton.

I think you don't get it. Sleeping in until 6 won't get many people very far in life, especially if they want to play on Sunday.

I love scenic Whitlash, MT.

Who is the nutbar rancher there that shoots at people near his land during hunting season?

Demerest or something like that?

I Just moved up to the Great Falls area and really like it up here. Not to sure why this would be the worst place. There are WAYYYY worse places.

Havre
Butte
West Yellowstone

I'd take Browning over Butte... at least there's decent flyfishing around Browning.

Yep we dont have the Bighole or any of the other numerous creeks or mountain lakes. Tell everyone it really sucks around Butte we dont want them.
