I asked this over on the main board, but thought it'd be more appropriate here. What is a good SAT score? What is bad score? What do you have to score to be allowed into college in Montana, if you are from Montana? Any other general info would be appeciated.

Average MSU student: 1120 SAT/23ACT
Above Average: 1200/27
Exceptional: 1320+/30+
Low: 900/18
Very Low: 700/16

If you get less than 800 you basically flunked it. Don't you get like 300 just for spelling your name right, or was that just a myth teachers told students.

I believe that it this "myth" is corrrect, although the SAT people don't really care how you spell your name! From what I remember, it is impossible to score a zero on the SAT (i.e. you get a 300 or something like that even if you answer every single question wrong).

Damn, I only had a 1344 on my SAT but my ACT score of 34 made up for it.

I was wondering when this would turn into a brag session about certain scroes. Thanks meat, I knew I could count on you. I will just say your scores are very similar to mine.

It doesn't count if you take the test twice, and then add the two scores together.

It was my understanding that there was going to be no math.

when I took the SAT back in the 80's we had these huge cell phones that were really unweildy and akward-looking. Even back then they made us put the darn things on manner mode during testing, which of course provided volcanic results on my arse hole when my mom called with the answers.

Hey Mung -- I think I speak for all of us when I say that we are really happy that your vibrating cell phone and your arse get along so well, but would you mind posting about something else for awhile? You know... for the sake of your cell phone's privacy.
