I can't find the post so I'm making a new topic. Awhile ago I mentioned that Laurel had some big boys that look like football players. Anyway, we played Laurel again so this time I wrote down names:

Mathew Scheie, 6'3" senior--I guess he will be going to the Air Force Academy.
Jarred Hergett, 6'4" junior
David Swecker, 6'3" sophomore
Sean Condon, 6'2" junior

Again, I haven't seen them play football but they are big athletes and I have heard that Laurel is pretty tough as of late in football. These kids just look like they have D-1 football written all over them.

Having taught and coached Jarred and Sean in middle school I can tell you that they are both quite athletic. Sean was clearly the more athletic of the two, but I haven't seen them play any sports since moving to Colorado in 2006.

I posted this last year about Laurel. I didn't name the new committ but was just wondering if there were updates on any of these other Laurel boys. The Hergett kid looks like a football player.

Hergett has committed to Western for football. He is suffering through a bit of a knee problem right now. I haven't heard who Condon is talking with. He is the main football stud left, now that Flotkoetter has committed to the Cats.

Laurel has a place-kicker who was a Junior this year who could easily play D-1. 40+ yards is not a concern with him back there. Should only get better by next year.
