MSU logo discussion

Post by SonomaCat » Mon Mar 28, 2005 11:25 am

This relates to the University logo -- not the athletics logo:

Faculty, staff and others interested in seeing what the new Montana State University logo may look like can attend one of two public forums scheduled for Tuesday, March 29. The first is at 3:30 p.m. in SUB Ballroom D. The second is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Great Room of the Alumni/Foundation Building on 11th Ave.

Esser Design of Phoenix, Ariz. will show two logo concepts and will ask audience members for comments on each one. The forums are not meant to gather votes on the designs so much as to gain written feedback on the merits of each idea.

For more information, contact Suzi Taylor at 994-2721 or read about the university’s marketing efforts at Integrated Marketing and Branding Web site.

I recieved that email also. I would be interested to see the logo candidates.

My question is if they just want written feedback on the ideas, why not just put the choices up on the website and put up a form to give feedback on the options. I don't know, maybe they plan to do this after they have the formal meeting, just seems that this is not something that should require you be available for one of their meetings in order to comment on.
