Being a board based in the great state of Montana... Chester is positive that many of you are either Bow hunters or Fisherman or Both. He wonders if you guys are familiar with the invasion / migration of Asian Carp toward Chesters cherished Great Lakes from the Illinois River?? If not, they are an invasive species that apparently, according to scientists, etc... could reek serious havoc on the Great Lakes and the $7 billion a year fishing industry / food supply. That ugliness aside, Chester thought you sportsman would get a kick out of the follow:
Coming to a Lake near Chester
(it really gets good at around 3:20)
That kind of bowfishing should be called "extreme bowfishing". I've bowfished here in Montana for more traditional carp and you stand on the front bow and basically drift in to the fish and shoot them as they are usually right on or just below the surface. Shooting out of a moving boat would be an adrenaline rush.
From a management standpoint, I can see why you're concerned. 1.8 million eggs per spawn per fish is going to produce ridiculous amounts of the fish.
