As a baseball fan this hurts. Though I am sure some people who dislike the Yankees will be glad when it happens, I hate it. And not just because I am a loyal Yankees fan, but because I am a fan of the game. I have a natural dislike for all Red Sox players (I do respect the 'True' Red Sox however) but I hope they never give up on Fenway. The same with Wrigley. I did lose my respect for Clemens when he rode the Yankee coattails to a ring (Yes Nick he is a bum) because he wasn't a Yankee - he was the enemy. I am going to be lucky enough to see the Greatest Team In All the Land whoop up on the Mets in June at the greatest sporting stadium of all time, but what about all those poor kids who won't have the opportunity soon. That is a crime on George. I guess you could kind of take my stance toward Red Sox players becoming Yankees as the same as not wanting out of staters to attend MSU. Scary I know. And no I don't like it when they buy players but the core of the team that won the rings were home grown talent. Considering this is probably the last year Bernie will be in Pinstripes I think everyone should take in a game.
BAC - Are you playing in the Open this year? I think it is the weekend right after I get back from NY and with the big Wiffleball game on Thursday there won't be much work out of me for a couple of weeks!
