Fantasy Baseball

For those of you who played ESPN last year, we now have the option of a auction draft rather than a snake draft............What say you

each round "snakes from the first pick to the last, and then back from the last to the first. so if there are 8 guys in your league it will go 1-8 and then come back 8-1, and then 1-8 again throughout the draft. so the last player always gets back to back picks, and the first player always gets back to back picks. it's a pretty standard way to draft in most fantasy leagues.

do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

Thanks...I call that "the normal way".

i play in one fantasy football league where some math genius came up with a perfect patttern to even out the entire draft. it starts as a snake going 1-8 and coming back again. but after the second round it takes on this pattern that is pretty cool. everyone has back to back picks at some point in the draft, not just the first and last guys. i really wish i would have saved it because it's really cool, and i think it evens the field pretty well. those auction drafts are awesome though.

catamaran, can you explain the "Keepers?" I think I understand, but want to make sure I'm clear on it.

go to your team and go to select keepers. you get to choose four people that you want on your team last year, essentially your first four picks in the draft

That's what I thought, but have never done that before. I like it. At least I know I'll have Mauer and Ichiro again. :D

Fantasy baseball is so much work but well worth it. Any type of draft works for me. Snake draft requires a little less thinking.

no, we'll set a draft for closer to the season. Today is just the day that you keep your best and start to think about the team you want to put together

Keepers selected - is there anything that can be done to find a new owner for the team that never made a single transaction all last year after the draft?

how do you get in the league everybody is in on this board? Last three years I have been playing on MLB.com, and I would like to get into a league with bobcatnation posters.

as of right now, we're full at 12 teams but if people don't want to play we can add new. or an existing owner can add you as a co manager
