I could see how his comments could get a little annoying after awhile. Based on his letters and quotes, it does seem as though he thinks that he had a monopoly on patriotism and respect/understanding of the constitution. It sounds like the legislature almost went British as a result.

And it looks like his is being openly mocked now by the Dems. There's nothing better for a party than to have a high-profile extremist making a lot of noise to make the other side look bad. What a gift for the Dems.
