I got this idea of another message board and its pretty cool if everyone contributes.
Any projects you guys are working on right now?
I am working on a new home theater in one of my houses.
This will be a THx certified installation with 7.2 surround sound and controlled by a Z wave network. I hope to have the entire system, A/V, lighting, window coverings ran on an iPod touch. If that doesnt work I will use a Logitech 890 RF/IR universal remote.
Soffits built into ceiling with 6 can lights. There will be crown molding on the inside lower edge with rope lighting behind the molding.

Back wall, DVD case will be raised up the wall and PS3 will be built into the wall for easy access.

Canned lighting that will be controlled by a Lagotek touch screen panel and iPod Touch. (Z Wave Network)

Raised floor for A/V sectional w/ottoman, 4 reclining Bello' theater seats will be in front of the raised section. A motion sensor will activate rope lighting under the front edge of the raised flooring section and the rope lights behind the crown molding when you enter the room. I will have power and a VGA connection built into the floor for connection of a laptop to the projector.

Front wall where 120" Stewart HD 16:9 screen will be fixed. (Possibly motorized and drop out of the soffit) The wall will be built out 24" and there will be a cabinet built around the fixed projector screen, one subwoofer will be on each side of the cabinet. 2(total)

Wiring into A/V Closet

Shelved A/V Closet for DirecTV receiver, Integra A/V receiver, Russound Distributed Audio, Monster Power Conditioner, DVD/CD player

Enclosed projector box for the Vidikron Vision Model 110 THX 3-Chip DLP

I may choose to use a 106" projector screen and then place 2 - 37" LCD flatscreens on the same wall, one on each side of the screen so I can have 3 college football games going on at once. If I do that I may have the projector screen motorized so it can drop from the soffit above.
PS3 will be networked into the system allowing online gaming and web surfing. It will have a blue-tooth keyboard making it easier to surf the internet using the PS3. I put a 500gb hard drive in for storing music and movies. I have roughly 60gb of music and under 200gb of video on right now. The PS3 will be one of the sources to the distributed audio system. (Streaming Pandora etc)
Once in the room one button on the iPod touch will lower the screen and window coverings, dim the lighting turn on the projector, receiver, Sat box to channel 360 (Fox News) select all the correct HDMI inputs and then give me control of the audio and channel selection.
Check out this site, very cool product line for controlling lighting, climate, security, irrigation, distributed audio.
