So I saw an ad for Timmer roofing here in Billings and I was wondering if that is any relation to the Timmer's on the 84 NC team? I am thinking of going with their company (of course if Bobcats :) ). Anyone have any roofing done from them? Good results?

Thanks in advance!

off base here (a little) but be careful who ya hire (I'm sure the Timmers would be a good hire).

the news had a deal on about out of staters coming into town and advertising w/ the names (or like the names) of local roofing/contractor companies. i haven't heard of any scammers...yet.

Also, make sure who you hire will install per manufacturer's specs---otherwise you lose the warranty on your shingles.

I know nothing about Timmer Roofing in Billings, but Timmer Roofing in Bozeman is owned by '84 Cat Troy Timmer. The business has an excellent reputation for quality work.

Yep I called and it is Troy's company doing work here in Billings too it sounds like. I have an appointment scheduled for an estimate but have to wait until July 20th due to all the roofing requests. I would like to go with Timmer if I can and support a fellow Bobcat :)

As I’ve read some reviews, the Timmers is a great roofing company to hire. You just need to consider some points like the roofing materials. Some roofing contractors aren’t expert in all roofing materials.

Timmer put a new $21,000 roof on my house last year. Hail again this year... Called them in June ... still waiting for them to call me back. Talked to the secretary and asked to speak to Troy... She said he was busy... Asked to leave a voicemail message for Troy. She said no, he won't listen to it anyway.

Gettin tired of listening to Dave Visser telling me how great Timmer Roofing is at customer service. Have decided to take my business elsewhere.

I love how an out of state contractor posts his first post on here? I would definitely stay away from people like this, and hire someone locally, especially if they have Bobcat ties.

I am good friends with Troy, and he does a good job, and need to defend him a little bit. With the last two hail storms, phone calls come in like mad, and it is hard to make everyone happy, so I can understand how tough it is for Timmer to make it out to everyone's house and give them a bid. On this note, there is plenty of work to go around, so if anyone is looking for a roofing contractor feel free to PM me (we also do concrete, and General Contracting).
