I was in downtown Bozeman yesterday and the steel and foundation work are underway. The big I-beams appear to be in place. Good job Ralph and Mike!!
Oh no you didn't! I just had one of those yesterday, now I want another one! I'm gonna be sweating steak and 'shroom grease.ChiOCat wrote:Cool.

Dang! I really enjoyed eating at that placeGus wrote:Too much $$$$...
I also noticed that 16 miles to the border closed for good last weekend... Hate to see people losing jobs just before the holidays... I mean Christmas.
Seriously? Come on...But at this time, the Olsons don't want the burden of trying to reestablish a customer base downtown.
I guess this would explain why I never heard back from them when I emailed them about franchising from them. It sounds like they are in retrenchment mode instead.bobcatozzy wrote:http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/ne ... 002e0.html
There are dutch doors that will separate Santa fe reds from the Rockin R. They will each have there own bar.AlphaOAlum wrote:Santa Fe Reds will be the restaurant inside/ associated with the reconstructed R-Bar. They'll share a bar area, I believe.
I loved going to the Pickle Barrel for soups at lunch, but that might be replaced by the Co-Op going into the old Western Drug building this spring.
My understanding was that it'll be a second Santa Fe Reds.CelticCat wrote:Will it be Santa Fe Reds, or are they resurrecting Reds on the Road? I was pretty bummed when Reds on the Road closed several years ago.
Missoula ?The Pickle Barrel has franchise locations in Sioux Falls, S.D., Belgrade, Livingston and Billings, and no new shops are currently in the works, in part because of the Olsons' attempt to remain true to their original shop.
Great Falls I know has been gone for well over a year. Miss 'em; I get to GF much more often than to Bozeman, and they were my usual lunchtime stopddlalum wrote:Missoula ?The Pickle Barrel has franchise locations in Sioux Falls, S.D., Belgrade, Livingston and Billings, and no new shops are currently in the works, in part because of the Olsons' attempt to remain true to their original shop.
Great Falls ?
How long have those two been gone?
Missoula's been gone probably 3-4 years now. They had an incident with refusing service to some middle eastern students and was closed shortly after...not sure if the events were related.ddlalum wrote:Missoula ?The Pickle Barrel has franchise locations in Sioux Falls, S.D., Belgrade, Livingston and Billings, and no new shops are currently in the works, in part because of the Olsons' attempt to remain true to their original shop.
