still not a lot of information out there but it was confirmed an officer was shot and killed. schools and businesses are on lock-down as the suspect is still on the run. very sad. thoughts and prayers....

Thoughts and prayers go out to Trooper DeLaittre's family, fellow troopers and friends.

Probably shot himself. For good reason I guess.
What a terrible tragedy. Way too young to give up his life. The guy had a warrant and obviously didn't think at all about what he was doing. I feel terrible for the kid's family.

Tragic.

Did anybody else notice the age of all the troopers killed on the job in the chronicle article--horrible, horrible thing.
