other SB Sunday traditions

Post by chester Spartanpot » Sun Feb 06, 2011 2:54 pm

sure today, Super Bowl Sunday, is supposed to be smothered by a football game but many other "traditions" have developed especially for TV stations not carrying the game.

Chester is partial to the Puppy Bowl on animal planet. you?

I admit-the puppy bowl sucks me in sometimes!

For me the Super Bowl is about food. Not a big meal-just lots and lots of snacks. All diets and nutrition are suspended!

Same. I always watch with the family, and we just have a ridiculous smorgasbord of food. I still haven't eaten breakfast today because I'm still full!

My daughters do not miss the Puppy Bowl! And yes, I am just like everyone else -- it's all about the food! Lasagna, chips/dips, pizza rolls, meatballs, homemade dough pretzels. We just gorged ourselves last night!

MY old tradition used to be to ski on Super Bowl Sunday, leave a little early and get home just in time for the game. That's a great way to spend a Sunday!!

Ridiculous themes for SB party foods. "Deep Fried" (2009), "Pork products" (2010) and "Gravies of the World" (2011).

Home made doughnuts with a Lipitor chaser.

Funny thing... that's exactly what I did. However last night we got a foot of snow so I wish I went today.
