No bashing required. Fox News is just doing its job.

This isn't a big breaking news flash. Stephen F. Hayes of the Weekly Standard has been saying this for at least two years now.

I like how that Fox article starts by quoting all democrats as if they are the only ones saying there's no link... how 'bout quoting Colin Powell on Meet the Press... "But I have seen nothing that makes a direct connection between Saddam Hussein and that awful regime and what happened on 9/11." Here's a link to a Washington Post article that White House counterterrorism director wrote in a memo to C. Rice that no "compelling case" existed for Iraq's involvement in the attacks. The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States laid out a detailed body of evidence supporting Kurtz's view.

I just think Fox is completely one-sided. It's the Rush Limbaugh way of presenting news...very glitzy, entertaining and reporting just the parts they want. If Fox news is all the info you have coming onto your radar screen then your opinion will be very one-sided. I'm not saying Fox is alway wrong, they just present a skewed version of the news.

Big differance between collaboration with 9/11 attacks and collaboration with Al Queda.

The article said "that links between al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein's government were weak". It wasn't just talking about the 9/11 attacks.

I'm sure the links between Saddam and AQ were just as strong as those between AQ and any other Islamic country in the world. So, as long as one isn't worried about relative strength of the connection, one could probably make a convenient claim about an AQ link with just about any country they wanted.
That could be a heads-up to Iran or Syria -- we have loose and unconfirmed information ... and we aren't afraid to use it.

Hayes is just bringing this up again to draw attention away from Rove and his mess.
