SEATTLE - A Seattle man died after engaging in anal sex with a horse at a farm suspected of being a gathering place for people seeking to have sex with livestock, police said Friday.

The horse involved in the incident was not harmed, and an autopsy of the unnamed man concluded that “the manner of death was accidental ... due to perforation of the colon,” a police spokesman said.

“The information that we have is that people would find this place via chat rooms on the Web,” said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Department.
Although sex with animals is not illegal in Washington state, Urquhart said that investigators were looking into whether the farm, located in Enumclaw, 40 miles southeast of Seattle, allowed sex with smaller animals that resulted in animal cruelty, which is a crime.

“If you’re talking about sheep or goats, there could be some issues,” Urquhart said.

the fact that they stated "it's not illegal" to do this to livestock in WA state is what made me go huh? the fact that ANY state would have to have specific laws to regulate sex with livestock shows how immoral our society has become. the fact that human beings truly want to screw livestock (for real) not just joking about the sheep in MT being scared of men, made me sick!

this was more a "society is depraved" article to me rather than, man likes anal sex with horse issue. although, that issue is still very freaky to me.

This is pretty messed up stuff, I fully agree, but I don't necessarily think this is indicative of how anything about our society at the current time. I think people have been screwing livestock for a long, long time. Like everything else these days, we just read about it a lot more due to our more open press. With that more open (and sensational) press, we tend to get the impression that everything is going downhill fast because any bad or bizarre news that happens anywhere in the country is right in front of us immediately via the web, tv or radio.

Ugh, now that I reread the article, I get the impression that the guy was the catcher -- I assumed otherwise when I first glanced at it. That just takes it to a whole other level of messed up.

this was certainly disturbing to me. the fact that BAC thinks this happens pretty frequently makes it even more so to me. I think society has gone down hill morally at such a rapid pace these days that the earth our children will inherit isn't what I'd like mine to grow up in. there are seriously sick people out there, I could never imagine wanting to lhave sex with a horse . now I know women that want their men to be half mule, but it's an expression.

now a days there are injections, and other procedures to handle that, but these "animal lovers" should just pass on livestock and go to an adult store and buy something. would be easier,( i guess) and not life threatening.

truly disturbing.

I actually don't think it happens all that frequently -- just the opposite. It's just that when it does happen now, we are going to hear about it. Back in 1950 (for example), I'm sure this kind of thing happened (possibly even more frequently), but the general public wasn't aware of it.

We are a very open society these days with a free flow of information never before seen, and as a result, we see a lot more of the ugliness that historically was kept very quiet.

I don't think things are getting worse -- I think the opposite is actually true (things are getting better all the time), it's just that the omnipresent media never lets us forget the messed up stuff that does happen. June and Ward Cleaver didn't have to deal with that kind of information flow -- the freaks did their freak things in relative obscurity.

Sex with animals has been going on since before America was founded. We haven't become any more immoral, it's been going on for hundreds of years.

as for my avatar picture, I support English Mastiff Rescue in WA and help find homes for this wonderful breed. the pic is of a small child hugging a grown male mastiff, it shows the gentle nature of this regal breed. Don't make it sick, although we were on a sick topic, I can understand the question.
