Schweitzer for President (?!)

Post by Grizlaw » Wed Jul 20, 2005 2:11 pm

I was just checking my Yahoo email address, and this headline jumped off the screen at me:

He would first have to learn how to dress professionally....

I actually think Ohs' comments are right on the mark. His self-styled pseudo-hillbilly act is charming to the big city folk at first glance, but would wear thin very quickly.

That being said, that was part of Bush's appeal the first time through, and it seemed to work out pretty well for him. Although he had a bit more money, influence and name recognition behind him.

If it gets him out of Montana I hope he does run. As long as he loses. Maybe national media could at least confirm or deny all the rumors about him.

The devil made me do it the first time... the second time I done it on my own.

Schweitzer said he has done nothing to promote himself for any higher office and, at least for now, is not seeking one. "I'm not that smart and I ain't pretty, so I don't know what they're talking about," Schweitzer told The Associated Press.
He sure got that part right. Schweitzer is full of s***, and people are going to realize it real soon. That "Montana cowboy" crap works on people from the east coast, but it sure doesn't win votes during a re-election in Montana.

I don't think the "Montana cowboy crap" would work in the northeast either, frankly. Schweitzer might be able to win here, but if he did it would be because of the issues, not because of the personality.

It wouldn't take long for us to educate the rest of America that JUDY MARTZ is the real reason Scheister won the election last fall. This guy will be lucky to get through his ONLY term as Governor and the only way he'll ever see the Oval Office is on a tour...

I know it's just a Yahoo "fluff" article, but if the Dems legimately have hopes for a guy like Scheister, I feel good about their continuing demise as a party...

the screamer wrote:"He is no-nonsense. He understands fiscal concerns," said Howard Dean, Democratic National Committee chairman. "He has a winning formula for Democrats. He is an example of how you win elections in the West."
ooh really? is that why he is spending money like a drunken salor
