Outdoor Television

So, it’s a beautiful day in Boise, and rather than watching the tournament indoors tonight, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be great to have a television out here on the patio”.
I see you can buy LCDs specifically made for the outdoors which are weather proof and have extra cooling built in. I see you can also buy enclosures for traditional LCDs which are water proof, but don’t necessarily do anything special with respect to cooling.
It appears the outdoor LCD cost about 3x, the amount of your traditional LCD. Has anyone tried using a traditional LCD outdoors, or tried one of these enclosures? Whether I got a specialty LCD or a traditional one with an enclosure, I would take the screen indoors during the winter.
It may be that a specialty LCD is the way to go. I just thought if you can buy 3 regular LCDs for the same price, it really only has to last a couple of years anyway….
Anyone have experience with using a LCD outdoors?
