Cut the cord?

I've been trying to delete cable and the $$$ from my life for a while, but haven't. This article caught my attention and summarizes some the nuances of the future of who pays for what and when and how. One thing is for sure, the current model is due for an evolution of some kind and it's going to happen sooner than later.

I've lived without cable for 3+ years now and don't really miss it. Naturally, I miss it during football season and during the Masters but that's about it. If you need some additional motivation, put together a table of cash flow future values of $100 per month for 20 years. A picture is worth a thousand words (or in this case a table) and you'll be shocked to find out how much cable is really costing you.

We got rid of cable a while ago. Don't miss it, most channels are junk. I bought "The Leaf" HD rabbit ears so to speak...great reception.
