NFL Predictions

Since the NFL season is FINALLY here, how does the Nation see 2005 shaping up?
Will the Patriots become the greatest Dynasty ever? Will the Eagles choke in January or February? Can Peyton Manning finally get the Colts past New England? Can the Tuna get the 'Boys back to the playoffs? Where will the Saints go marching in? Will the Seahawks finally realize that Mike Holmgren is the most over-rated coach in NFL history? Can the gang-banging Lewis boys take Baltimore all the way? Can Brett Favre give us one more magical season? How many Super Bowl tickets will Mike Tice need? Where in God's name is Marty "I'll take the wind" Morninwheg? Can Big Ben repeat his rookie year? How many organ transplants will Steve McNair need to get through the season? Is Daunte strong enough to throw a football all the way to Oakland? Is Mike Vick the NFL's MJ? Whatever happened to Jon Gruden? How many years have the Cardinals been out of the league? How will Mike Martz find Jesus without Kurt Warner? How much of Hawaii's GDP will Ricky Williams and Randy Moss account for?
Stay tuned as it all unfolds....
BTW, COLTS over Packers in the Bowl.

All I know is tonight my Raiders finally get revenge for "the Tuck Rule".

I hope the Colts win it, partly because I like Peyton, and partly because I've had enough Boston sports in the past two years to last me the rest of my life. I went up to Foxboro last year for the Colts - Patriots playoff game and endured three hours' worth of sometimes good-natured verbal abuse from the drunk Patriots fans in a blizzard, only to see the Colt offense get shut down for four quarters. I'd love nothing more than to drive back up there this December and see some payback. (Well ok, there are some things I'd like more, like a national title for the Griz. Not many, though.)

That is funny!! I would be willing to bet that no "revenge" takes place. Sorry KMax, cheering for the Raiders will probably be torture tonight....my Bucs on the other hand....yeah they are crappy too!

Wow! i thought I was the only Raiders fan around (except Ron Warzeka, 'Cats '56 National Champ team & played for the Raiders) I've never lived anywhere but Montana but they've been my team since Lamonica. Just keep hoping- they can break your heart year after year.

I've also been a Raider fan since back in the Marcus Allen days (keep in mind I'm only 23 so I don't go back too far

). I can remember exactly where i was at when Brady "Tucked" the ball.....not bitter or anything...this year is a new year though and I'll be watching tonight!!!

Well, since we're all "coming clean", I've been a Cowboy fan since the days of Roger the Dodger, Too Tall, and TD.

I've been trying to give you some slack, but now you've definitley tipped the scale! My 2 hate teams are the griz & the Broncos (and any other team in the AFC West).

One team didn't quite tip the scale, but two did it huh.

My job here is complete.
By the way, the Raiders look horrible tonight and it's only been a coin flip. ha

Well in my completely unbiased opinion (

), I think the Rams are going to be a tough, tough team this year. Jackson is going to be a stud in this league ala Ricky Williams, and with Marshall in on 3rd downs, or when Jackson is tired, watch out. If Bulger gets the time he needs, he will pick apart ANY defense in this league. We should (please Martz, please) be a more balanced team this year, making them respect our run and therefore opening up a superb passing game. The defense made some key acquisitions in the offseason and looks to be vastly improved. We were 8-8 last year, and I think we win the conference and finish 11-5 or better.

Have to admit that sometimes you are right.
Game just got over and the Raiders actually did better than I thought they would- maybe there's still hope.
