I'm craving a cheesesteak, where can I get a good one in Bozeman?

My favorite is the good ol' Pickle Barrel. Their Cheesesteaks were a staple of mine, coupled with a $0.50 Coke from Joe's Parkway. That dinner sure beat what was offered at Johnstone Dining Hall sometimes...

CC,

You're kidding, right?

I owe my ample build in part to Pickle Barrel cheesesteak! Eat just a half & you can literally HEAR your arteries clogging...

But it's WELL WORTH IT!!! :D

you make me miss Philly now. BUT since we're not in PA I vote Pickle Barrel as well.

I like the steak/mushroom oh, and Bobcat special worth the walk to eat there rather than in hannon. yes, Poor me was stuck in the ALL girls dorm. can you tell my dad paid for my lodging?

no just young and still learning what us old timers already know. speaking of being "old" where's a good place for grad students to wind down. Not bars, just not the sub?

Becca, the fact that you're an antique doesn't mean Celt shouldn't feel a little old walking around campus at 24. ;)

Or just not sending it at all would've been fine, too. ;)

Two things...I am also shocked by not knowing to go to the Pickle Barrel, but I also forgive you. Make sure to get extra sauce and definately if you don't know about it, go to Joe's to get a $.50 pop like Honolulu suggested.

I lived a block south of Joe's and the PB for two years and I would have to say that dinner was common for me. Man I miss Joe's and the PB. Can't wait for Cat/Griz just to eat all the good food in Bozeman.

I think Honolulu dated himself a little when he was talking about $.50 pops. Next he is going to tell us about when he could get a gallon of gas for less then $2.50!

When I was in college, I would've put my cheesesteaks which I made at the Sub Station (used to be acrossed Lincoln from Roski). I would bet any customer who came in ordering a whole sub that if they could sit down and eat it at one time, I would pay for their sub; I never had to :D

Pickle Barrell is good too. Anybody been to Starky's. I know there's now about three other delis in Bozeman that have some kind of claim to fame.

MMM cheesesteak sammi's for next tailgate?! :D

I ate at Starky's once or twice before I moved and it sucked! The prices weren't great and the sandwich was nothing special.

There is/was a new Deli over by Staples called Gandolph's or something. I didn't make it there, but it is a franchise and I ate there in Utah. It was very good, not PB, but a good second choice.
