The Bobcat Nation

Get ready folks the first MAJOR renovation is about to start on the SUB since the early 1980's (when I was in school). The project is out to bid right now. It looks to be a 12 million dollar plus project. Three major phases with three sub-phases in each major phase. Construction is scheduled to start in January 2006 (although the exact phasing and time schedule is not set completely in stone). The project is scheduled to completely finished August 2007. In looking over the project it apears almost every area of the Sub will have work done in it, particularly the food service and theater. There is also alternate (read if budget allows) for a "black box" theater. The first phase will involve the Bobcat Grill area, Grant Street entry, and the lower level hallway. It looks like a great addition to the campus but will be a pain for the time construction is underway.
