I figured that subject line would attract a couple looks. Anyway, funny story from this weekend. I was at the golf tourney here on Sunday, and apparently there is a labor dispute at the newspaper here -- the SF Chronicle. All day long, there was an airplane flying overhead (which is kind of dangerous, considering the Blue Angels were flying overhead as well) pulling a banner that read (verbatim):
"Say no to the Cronicle union busting."
I hope it wasn't a writers' or editors' union that sponsored the sign, but whoever it was really scored some points for the Chronicle's management, and put some serious doubts into people's minds as to the necessity of newspaper unions that can't even spell the name of the company they are trying to attack.
