Will not be watching our CATS on Saturday

Last year for the Brawl of the Wild I was not available for the game as our Daughter Shannon had a big fundraiser in Petaluma to fund her cancer treatments.....
This year we will be back in Petaluma for a Celebration of Life for Shannon as she lost her battle against this rotten desease. She fought hard for just over a year but she had the cancer in her liver, pancreas, lungs and brain. She was fighting hard until about two weeks ago and she went downhill fast..
We/the entire family were with her the last three days and I never want to see anyone go through that. She was a BEAUTIFUL 43 year old and left an 18 year old Daughter.
During her last three days literally a couple hundred friends came to her house to say good bye. We were amazed at how many lives she had touched.
Her Daughter, our Grand Daughter Keelin will probably be moving to Gardiner in the near future to live with her dad...
All I can say is in my 69 years nothing has ever hurt so much...
I will be with the CATS in spirit this year.
GOOOOOOOOO CATS.

Prayers to you and your family Rick! I have seen first hand what this rotten disease does to a loved one and everyone around them.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's never easy to lose any family member or even a close friend, but I know that losing a son or daughter is particularly painful. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences and sympathy.

Wow. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, I can barely begin to imagine the hurt you are going through right now. She sounds like an amazing woman, some people have the ability to touch so many others even in a short time, and she sounds like that type of person. My heartfelt condolences, and I'll cheer extra loud for you this Saturday!

Rick,
I lost my dad to cancer a few years back and my mom died this year--on Mother's day no less.
She hadn't missed a home Griz game for a decade and it's still sad to see that empty seat.
But it pales by far in comparison to loosing an offspring.

From this Griz fan, my sincere condolences to you and your family.
Some things are more important than a rivalry or football game.
God Bless!

Very sorry to hear of the passing of your daughter Shannon. No doubt these days have been and will be very difficult. I pray that the celebration of her life will comfort you and your family and solidify in your heart and mind what you already know, that she was a true blessing to your life and the many lives she touched.
