Any interest in a new forum entitled "Help Wanted"? With all of the smart people we have on this site people could post questions on how to solve varoius problems. Individuals could create their own "How Too" posts such as:
Grizlaw: could post on how to avoid a speeding ticket.
Briannell: could post on how to get involved in pet rescue.
Quast5300: could post on how to hold a D-Lineman and get away with it.

I'd probably ask any EWU lineman first.

Gary - hey I am good with pet rescue. However, I could use help with how to get your contractor to build you a home now that you are pissy with one another

Or how to get any man to do what you want them too, if that's even a remote possibility
Yup, may be we have some psych alum that can demistify the male ego for me.
anyone know a good realtor there in Bozeman? I think I may need one soon..
PS - remeber I am also an authority on how to scam those wonderful rumps at Bobcat games and not be caught

I'm offended Gary. By omitting me, are you saying that I don't have skills??
Back in my bar days I used to make a killer Margarita.

Meat; I had you down for convincing perspective students that MSU is the best choice for higher education.
Oh yea, also how to drink your fellow students under the table!

Unfortunately, I don't think there's usually much you can do to argue against a speeding ticket. If I had to do so, the issue I would raise would be the accuracy of the cop's radar -- the cops have procedures they are supposed to follow regarding maintenance and regular testing of the radar; if I had to argue against a speeding ticket, I would request a copy of the department's procedures for maintenance and testing of radar guns, and get the records the cop kept as to when the last time he had his radar tested (and whether he followed the maintenance procedures). If he did not, the results produced by the radar should be inadmissible, and you could beat the ticket that way.
Failing that, you might find out what the "default" speed limit is in the state where you were caught, and find out how recently you had passed a speed limit sign at the point where you got pulled over. If there isn't a speed limit sign for fifty miles, and the speed you were travelling is within the "default" speed limit, you might be able to argue that you were within the legal speed limit for where you were. *shrug*
Sorry; I'm not much good on this topic. If you're ever being audited by the IRS, I can be much more helpful.

I also wrote an unpublished law review article during my second year of law school on whether or not the police should have to Mirandize you before administering a field sobriety test, so if you get pulled over and you're only slightly drunk, I can probably help you avoid a DUI as well...
