Street justice

This is a very interesting op-ed piece in the SF Chronicle. The paper does feature a lot of conservative viewpoints, although I'm not sure where this one falls. I like the gist of it, though, despite my "law and order" general philosophy. I guess I really liked "Sin City" and "Dirty Harry," so I apparently have a streak of vigilante justice in me.

only because you mentioned Dirty Harry I have to share this "vigilante"
story. It's old so here's just the Cliff notes version of what i remember. now there's a place in Carmel (okay so it's not real Vigilante, being it's Carmel) the Boar's nest. Gentlemen were stealing vehicles around town. This was going on for awhile - was bugging the locals. so a very nice jeep wrangler was rigged by it's owner. The idiot tried to steal this jeep. The jeep locked him inside and a tape ran "Go ahead, make my day!!" The owner of the Jeep was Clint himself - he was mayor at the time. :D
can you imagine how that would get someones attention - having Clint's voice come on with that classic line of his. :D
