That Loretta Scott King passed. She was a very serene, classy lady that exemplified what can be done through peace and perserverence.

Just a reference to the post yesterday about Republican's being racist. I thought it very ironic.

No, I do not think of myself as racist, but I am a Republican.

Yeah, if I found a post that made that blanket statement, I would disagree with it, too. I just never saw one.

I believe the title said "Proof that Republicans are Racist." That sounds pretty blanket to me.

Actually though, "Proof" was in quotes in the title of the thread, which to me indicates that the author of the thread was using the term sarcastically. I don't think anyone on the thread actually took the position that all Republicans are racist, did they? The position taken by some was that people who are racist tend to be conservative moreso than liberal (although I have known people in my life that I would consider racist who vote both ways).

Anyway, I certainly wouldn't take offense. I am conservative on many issues, and I certainly don't consider myself racist either.

It was a tongue in cheek comment. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor.

Ahh, I see...I do too actually, and it doesn't always come through well online...
