Kind of interesting. From Fox News' Grapevine

Montana Democrat Max Baucus surprised the Senate Tuesday morning when he unexpectedly voted for the confirmation of Supreme Court Nominee Samuel Alito before he voted against it. So what happened? Baucus tells FOX News he was discussing upcoming legislation with Democratic leader Harry Reid when his name was called on the Senate floor and was so distracted that he "accidentally" voted yes. Baucus changed his vote after colleagues alerted him to the mistake calling it "a slip of the tongue."

On a side note Baucus spoke at a conference I was at last week and it never ceases to amaze me how someone who has had so much practice can still be such a lowsy public speaker. It's almost painful to listen to.

It sounds like he needs some practice with his multi-tasking. I think all of us could give him some pointers. How else would we be able to get stuff done at work while still posting on here?

That's my personal affirmation for the day to justify the inherent goodness of this board.
