A view on Bush's immigration speech

I really like articles that cut through a lot of the rhetoric by imploding some myths on topics and replacing them with more reality-based facts and arguments. For the most part, this article appears to do that:

Am I right in assuming that based on the tone of the article that he is not a strong republican?

Am I right in assuming that based on the tone of the article that he is not a strong republican?

He's a Libertarian, and I generally reading Libertarian stuff as they tend to be more fact and circumstance based in their opinions than the partisan crap that we see from people belonging to the "Big Two" parties.
