If this had been an athlete, what would the repercussions have been?

I'm still rubbing me bum and thinking the guy on the receiving end probably isn't laughing.

For one, an athlete would/should get in trouble for eating at Taco Bell. That has to be against some sort of training rule.

Taco John's is actually one of the chains that I miss from Montana. I couldn't eat it all time, but I always have to grab an order of Potato Oles with nacho cheese & sour cream whenever I visit home.

Doh! My bad. I just see Taco [ksdfjsdkfjslj], and my mind goes back a few years to a miserable drive from Pocatello to Billings with food poisoning symptons from a bad burrito at that other place. It was like The Exorcist ... only worse.

I don't consider myself a violent person either, but if a big burly guy walks up and punches me in the face, puts me in a choke-hold and starts beating the crap out of me, all because he didn't like the way I was driving, I'm gonna defend myself anyway I can, including stabbing the guy to death if needed.

Unless I am missing something not in the story it looks to me like the wrong guy is in jail. I guess he should have just let the other guy punch him and choke him and not do anything about it.

The moral of the story is (at least to the outsider) is don't tell a guy to F-off unless you want to be included in the practical application ie getting punched in the face

I agree---that is probably why this guy's lawyer feels so confident he will get off on self defense.

Oh I know; the story does sound more like self defense. I just thought the combination of quotes was funny.

Also, I'll offer up my nugget of free legal advice for the day: if you're ever in a fight and you stab a guy, regardless of the situation...don't go out of your way to admit to the cops that you "intended to kill the guy." WTF was he thinking saying that?

And don't punch someone in the face unless you are willing to get stabbed in the butt. Actually the moral of the story should be you are not the parking lot police, it is not up to you to tell others how to drive, and just because you are bigger than someone else doesnt give you the right to punch them in the face and put them in a choke-hold. Guy got what he deserved from what I read.

Neither side was in the right to start out with, obviously. I also am not sure we're getting the full story considering the "stabber" may have told the guy to F' himself, he can't quite remember.

That is funny that you mention it because I am the same way. Being out of Montana I missed grabbing lunch at Taco John's once in a while. I have been back in Montana for less than a week and already been there once. Luckily I didn't get stabbed in the drive thru!
