Last ever Public Skate at the Valley Ice Garden

Post by kmax » Mon Aug 21, 2006 9:13 pm

BEAT THE HEAT!!!!

Say Farewell to the Ice Garden with Ice Skating in August!!!!

That's right, the end is coming quickly for the Valley Ice Garden. As I have mentioned before, my daughter is a part of the Figure Skating club and they are doing a fund raiser this Friday night to raise funds for both the club and the new ice rink. From 6-9 pm members of the Figure Skating club will be skating, and have been getting pledges for their skate-athon.

We have also decided to invite the public out to join the club Friday night for one last public skating session at the Valley Ice Garden. For a minimum $5 donation, you get to skate for all 3 hours and get skate rentals(though I encourage people to bring their own skates if they have them as they tend to run out of common sizes). The infamous voice of the Icedogs, Geno, will be doing the MC duties and we will have music and concessions for everyone (sorry, no beer ;) ).

Come on out and enjoy skating at the Valley Ice Garden one last time, while helping all of the skaters and hockey players in the Valley in the quest for a new arena!!

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to post here or send me a pm or email. Hope to see everyone there!!!!
