Okay guys, just to let you know we aren't ignoring you.
Our(all three moderators) initial feelings on this are that we are not going to be in the business of banning someone simply for posting dissenting comments, or for that matter stupid comments that are just trying to "rub salt in the wounds" of fans. However, there is a place for this type of behavior and it is only on the smack board. We have always said the Smack Board would be a minimally moderated board and if you didn't like it, good stay on the adult boards and contribute something useful.
However, the user neverplayed has recently gone beyond just smack and digs at Cat sports. All users agreed to our Terms of Usage when you signed up for BobcatNation's message boards. They are stickied in the Site Announcements forum, but in case any of you have forgotten them, here they are again:
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable. The forums and site at bobcatnation.com are in no way associated with Montana State University and the information here does not necessarily reflect the views of Montana State University.
In using these forums, you agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned. This is a sports board, so smack talk against teams is allowed, however please keep it on the smack board. Personal attacks against other posters or coaches and student-athletes of Montana State University will not be tolerated and will be edited or deleted and may be cause for banning. The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. The webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. Any posts which break the previously stated rules will be edited or deleted as soon as possible. Any topics that are off topic for the board they are on or stray off topic will be moved or split as necessary. As a user you agree to any information you enter during registration and your use of these forums being stored in a database. Any personal information will not be disclosed to any third party for marketing purposes without your consent, however the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. Should you choose to reveal any of your personal information through profile settings or by posting them to the forums, that information will be publicly viewable.

Neverplayed's recent personal attacks and abusive posts have crossed the line. I have tried to go back and edit/delete as many of these as possible, but do not have the time nor desire to go through all of his posts. Neverplayed has been sent a first and last warning that he has crossed the line both on this and his over-zealous attempts of Smack that he posted on the Bobcat Sports board. Please let this be a first warning and reminder to everyone else as well.
We spelled out the rules when we started this board. We have purposefully decided we wanted this to be a pretty lenient set of rules so as not to limit the interactions possible on here. Trust me, I am a part of several other messageboards that are very strict in their rules and it is sometimes hard to even know where the line is. Ours is simple, keep it civil and play nice and if you want to talk smack or just make an idiot of yourself do it on the smack board. Go beyond that and start breaking the few rules we have laid out, and your time on this board will be very short. Just because you are typing in front of a computer instead of talking face to face with the other people doesn't give you an excuse to act like jerks.
We want everyone, Bobcat fans and others, to use these boards as a place to talk with others with similar interests. If anyone has any comments about this policy or any of my comments above, you can either post them below or send them to me or any of the other moderators through a Private Message or email.
