Who me???I am always civil.El_Gato wrote:I'm actually thinking about going and just hang out at the tailgates...
If I do, I will make it clear to all egrizzers who El Gato is. I'm sure putting names & actual PEOPLE with our "handles" will serve to make us all a little more civil on here... Except possibly jag, bronco, and eastcoast who I fear are lost causes...

I haven't met him, just watched him play for for the Griz and in the Montana/Wyoming all-star game. It's tough to get a lock on a players personality without meeting him. I can't vouch for him on a personal level but he sure could play. I know what you mean though. No matter how good someone is, they should have at least some modest character in them. No more of him from me.profisme wrote:Hey Meat,
I have always enjoyed reading your posts, up until the Spencer Frederick mention. I hope that you haven't had the "pleasure" of his acquaintance. He was a good tight end, but possibly the biggest (expletive deleted) ever to come out of Scobey, Montana. He is so ridiculously full of himself and has been ever since he was in junior high school. I am not a person who dislikes very many people, but he is right up there on my list of people who I dislike. Please, lets not mention that name again.

Hey peed,
Where are you from (curiousity)? I am a Scobeyan, and can vouch for Spencer's poor disposition. Sam (his older brother) was a much better person than Spencer. I was exposed, an odd word to use in a case involving people, to Spencer far too much, and can say with all certainty that he was probably the biggest jerk from Scobey that I have met.

The only guess that I can come up with would have been 1995 when Larry Henderson was the coach of the basketball team (bad mistake). That was the year before, you ready for this Griz fans, Dave Selvig (brother of Robin) came to Scobey and took a very talented team to the 1996 State Championship where Scobey demolished Gardiner 70-38. I would guess it to be Lustre or Westby, I can't remember off-hand. My brother played for the Scobey team.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the timeline.profisme wrote:Meat,
It couldn't be Flaxville/Outlook, the first year they were combined was 1996.

Damn you profisme and your 1-C information!profisme wrote:Peerless won the tournament in 1996. The Nieskin brothers did it with R.J. Roos. That was the year that David Anderson went to Scobey.

Antelope school closed down in the 60's if I remember correctly. My mother went to school there and her father was a teacher there for quite some time. Good guess though, most people have no idea that Antelope is even a town. This 1-C information is simply in my head because I have always been a sports junkie.

I recant nearly everything I have said, except the things that are accurate. In 1995 Scobey took 3rd at district by beating Outlook (the infamous game where Ty Bucklin dribbled the ball at halfcourt for over 7 minutes. It was a leap year of sorts because 1C only took 2 teams to divisionals and they were Peerless and Medicine Lake.
Peed, I can only guess that it was 1998 in which you played. Any hints at this point are helpful.
