Did Clive Lowe play at all on Saturday? I saw him a little against EWU, but he limped off the field and looked ineffective when playing.

He caused all kinds of havoc last season, but never got going after his bad reaction to oral surgery-and what must have been further injuries later?

My thoughts exactly. We didn't give it our best shot I thought. But that is why the football is oblong shaped. It doesn't always bounce/catch easily. I am definately proud of this team and they still (despite not making the playoffs) took a step forward this year. I mean come on, having 2 freshman CB's is tough for a team to succeed on defense with. Your only as good as your weakest link. I'm not pinning everyting on these guys either. Fuller definately got better as the year went on and Austin I'm not sure if he was 100% healthy. Our secondary 'should' be better next year and we have our total offense pretty much returning.

We DEFINATELY need a RB that has speed and can pop it to the outside though. Our offense (even though we put a lot of yards up through the air) is too one dimensional right now. You have receivers drop the balls it KILLS DRIVES. Its much easier/consistent to have a RB popping off good chunks of yards AND have the ability to go down the field with the passing game. Our offense this year at the end as 70% pass .. 30% run. I want it to be at least 60/40 next year. Hopefully we can get a drop down transfer RB that will compliment Domineck. I do think Domineck does a heck of job on blitz pickup/blocking though. He may also make a stud FB as well.

Anway, I think this team made definate strides this year and in the end a couple disheartening losses/hit the wall at the end a little I thought. We definately have a good talent core coming back and we need to make darn sure that our players hit camp in spring ready to go so we can jump right back into same game speed from game 1 next year.

Another great year of football though ... was sure fun hitting the games this year.

From what that sounds like, I wouldn't be surprised if MSU is picked to win the 'sky by the coaches next year, unless UM gets some transfers to fill our WR and QB holes.
Thanks for the positive vote, but you guys never seem to have a problem attracting talent for any position, and I'm sure either you or Eastern will be picked to win the Sky again. I'd put us around 3rd or possibly 4th behind PSU. I'm confident we'll get our historically solid D back in order and make another run at the title. Good luck to the Griz in the playoffs! (I'll root for you to make it to the Championship, so I can watch more good 1-AA football for the next 3 weekends, but probably don't want you to win it all... be too painful to put up with all that bragging from the fans!!! )

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Actually, that day I had to get up at about 4:30 AM to get to the game on time and had just gotten back when I wrote that. By that time I had a few beers in meself and being still giddy from the win, and gassy from the pasty, I'm not sure I expressed myself entirely coherently. What I meant to say was more like: "nanner nanner pu-pu"
